60 seconds of hailstone chaos and I’m actually wondering if this is as close to a “snow day” as we’re going to get this winter. It was even enough to tear the kids away from a new episode of Ninjago to go out and play in it, still in pyjamas. They said it was like a weird cross between ice and sand, it behaved like sand but was a lot more slippery. So they built hail castles and had a hail-ball fight where the bundles of hail simply exploded in mid-air as they were thrown. Of course there is a small tub of hailstones in the freezer now. Of course.
