Nature Tapestry Looms

on

Today we’ve been enjoying the sunshine even though it’s quite chilly, and making some nature tapestry looms. I can’t remember where I found the idea for this but it’s pretty simple: tie four sticks together to make a square or rectangle, then loop string around to create the loom.

Here’s ours:

This first one is mine, I made the strings quite close together, probably a bit too close, but I enjoyed weaving wildflowers and herbs in.

This one is ready for Ben, slightly more open.

And I made a smaller one with big spaces between the strings for Erika and she absolutely loved it and made this beauty by herself! I picked some of the flowers for her but she put them all in the tapestry 😍

I think that was some sunshine well spent!
